Become a CATH volunteer

DO YOU have time to spare? Do you want to fill it with something challenging yet rewarding? Then become a CATH volunteer.

CATH works with the city’s homeless to help them rebuild their lives – but it’s work that requires a lot of energy and enthusiasm from others.

While we have paid professionals who provide specific care skills we’re always looking for volunteers to keep our services running.

If you have a skill we’ll find a use for it from admin and fundraising to preparing and serving food, or simply having the time to sit with clients and chat over a cup of tea.

Our clients need support to find their feet again so working with CATH and watching people as they journey through the rebuilding process to eventually finding homes of their own, jobs and a secure future is an amazingly rewarding experience.

It doesn’t need to be a huge commitment. Whatever time you can spare, from a couple of hours a month to a couple of days a week, will be welcomed. And age is no barrier either. Our volunteers range from students in their teens and 20s to retired people in their 80s. Maturity is no barrier.
